FAQs
How much food waste can I put in and how much gas does it produce?
The MyGug models vary in size depending on the waste your business waste.
Mini: Per day: 5.5kg food waste, up to 3hrs cooking time, 11 litres liquid fertiliser. Footprint: 1m x 3m.
Midi: Per day: 11kg food waste, up to 4.5 hrs cooking time, 22 litres liquid fertiliser. Footprint 2m x 3m.
Maxi: Per day: 18kg food waste, up to 6hrs cooking time, 36 litres liquid fertiliser. Footprint 2m x 5m.
Can I put raw and cooked food in?
Yes! MyGug will happily digest all of your cooked and raw food waste. The real benefit of Micro Anaerobic Digestion is that it will accept all organic food waste: cooked foods of all types and leftovers, vegetable peelings, grease and oily waste, mayonnaise and all sauces , chicken, fish and all meats, ice cream, beer, wine and milk. MyGug will turn all of these solid and liquid food wastes into biogas and organic bio-feriliser. If you are using your digestate for growing vegetables we do not recommend you dispose of raw meats but cook them before putting in the digester.
